The most important shipping decision is made before loading: the buyer and supplier must agree exactly what is being delivered, to which named place, under which responsibility split and with which project documents.
Confirm destination and consignee requirements
State the Iraqi city, delivery point, consignee details and whether the buyer has a nominated customs broker or carrier. Border, inland transport and destination handling arrangements should be confirmed by the responsible parties using current route and customs information.
Freeze the model and package schedule
The final packing list should trace each package back to the approved equipment schedule. Controls, branch components and small accessories need particular attention because they can be commercially minor but essential for commissioning.
- Outdoor and indoor units by exact model and quantity
- Controllers, gateways, branch joints or selector boxes
- Factory options, panels, sensors and installation accessories
- Spare-parts package, manuals and approved submittal revision
Choose the transport responsibility clearly
Use an Incoterms® 2020 rule appropriate to the transport arrangement and include the named place. The sales contract should also address payment, inspection, partial shipment, delay, damage reporting and document approval because Incoterms® do not cover every contractual issue.
Inspect packing and documents before dispatch
Check package integrity, labelling, weights, dimensions and photo records before handover to the carrier. Invoice and packing-list descriptions must be consistent with the approved order. Destination import requirements should be confirmed by the Iraqi importer or customs adviser.
Commercial note: GlobalVRF supplies project-based VRF equipment packages. Prices, availability, transport and services are confirmed against the project brief and destination; this guide is not a binding quotation or customs advice.
