There is no reliable single “VRF price” for a Saudi project. The commercial answer depends on design duty, selected model combinations, controls, installation scope, delivery point and documentation. This guide shows what a serious quotation should include before the buyer compares totals.
Why price per HP or per square metre is not enough
Two systems with the same nominal horsepower can deliver different usable capacity at the project design temperature. Piping length, height difference, indoor-unit combination and outdoor ambient correction may change the selected equipment and therefore the project total.
A commercial comparison must use the same design basis, bill of quantities and delivery scope. Otherwise a lower headline number may simply exclude controls, branch components, factory options, documentation or logistics.
- Confirmed outdoor design condition and required net cooling capacity
- Indoor-unit types, quantities, airflows and external static-pressure requirements
- Heat-pump or heat-recovery architecture and branch-control requirements
- Central controller, BMS gateway, metering and room-control scope
The six cost packages in a complete VRF budget
For procurement purposes, the total should be divided into packages that can be checked independently. This makes brand alternatives comparable and prevents missing scope from appearing after award.
- Equipment: outdoor units, indoor units, controllers and manufacturer-specific accessories
- Refrigerant network: copper, branch joints or selector boxes, insulation and additional charge
- Electrical and controls: power distribution, communication wiring, gateways and integration
- Site works: supports, drainage, builders’ work, lifting and access provisions
- Trade and logistics: packing, freight, insurance, export documents and destination handling
- Technical services: submittals, selection reports, supervision, start-up and handover records
Information needed for a Saudi Arabia quotation
The fastest route to a usable offer is a structured project brief. If a final BOQ is not ready, the supplier can begin with area, application, city, calculated load and target programme, but assumptions must be stated clearly.
- Project city and site conditions, including roof or plant-area constraints
- Cooling loads by zone or the latest mechanical equipment schedule
- Preferred voltage, refrigerant strategy, brand restrictions and control concept
- Required Incoterm, delivery location, target purchase date and installation responsibility
How to compare quotations fairly
Ask every bidder to identify inclusions, exclusions, model numbers, quantities and the revision of the BOQ used. Commercial totals should sit beside a technical-compliance matrix, not replace it.
GlobalVRF does not publish a standard unit price because the business supplies project packages rather than single retail units. A documented quotation is prepared after the project basis and destination are confirmed.
Commercial note: GlobalVRF supplies project-based VRF equipment packages. Prices, availability, transport and services are confirmed against the project brief and destination; this guide is not a binding quotation or customs advice.
